Watch Blue Origin fly William Shatner to space at 8:30AM ET on October 13th
As long as there is no last minute delay, the Star Trek actor William Shatner will fly to the edge of the room on October 13. You can watch all flights here and on the youtube channel engadget. Listen around 9:30 to see NS-18 take off from the Blue Origin launch site, one facility near Van Horn, Texas. This mission was originally scheduled to blow up on October 12 but was pushed back due to unfavorable weather conditions.
The upcoming launch came about three months after blue origin successfully completed his first crew flight on July 20. If this latest flight works, Shatner, at the age of 90, will be the oldest person to travel like that. The record is currently held by Wally Funk flight legend, who joined the Blue Founder Jeff Bezos on the company’s first flight.
