One scene in GTA Trilogy remaster trailer actually looks worse than the original game
Look, the GTA trilogy remaster trailer looks good. It seems that Rockstar really took the refresh of GTA 3, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas seriously, with detail improved, lighting, color, weather and additional items and decorations added to the scene throughout the game.
Inside the house CJ now looks more like a house where people eat, sleep and put their personal stamps, while the coastal roads like Miami in City Deputy look more vibrant and 80s – we also like the choice of art style from Rockstar and its studio grove partners Street Games, because it avoided hyper-realism and saved some cartoon talents from the original game.
It looks like it would be a great way to spend time while we waited for GTA 6, so it all sounded positive, right? WRONG. There is one particular scene that really looks worse in four seconds or more appears on the screen.
City of Sin
The scene in the question appears 24 seconds to the new GTA trilogy trailer and shows the road coated with neon-clean casino not all that is different from the real world of Las Vegas.
It was from GTA San Andreas and the Las Venturas area of a spacious map, gave us views on the road. As a trailer transition from the original game to Remaster, the car drive towards you.
What jumped out, unlike other transitions in the trailer, is the original actually looks better than remaster at first glance.
It’s also the only bright colored night scene that displays trailers, with other clips that show neon-dress, Ocen Drive, Miami streets in City Deputy arrested during the day in the game.
This makes me wonder how the scenery like this will be seen when the match time reaches the night – is we going to see a similar visual blur and a little awkward lighting?
It is subjective to the eye that sees it and if you see a reflection of the casino lamp on the car paint when the zipper passes through the camera you can notify the remaster whether to handle certain elements is better than the original.
It’s also just a short trailer uploaded to Twitter – this game hasn’t reached any anyone to experience on their big TV or a high resolution PC monitor.
There is a way to go, but this is a strange purple in a trailer otherwise about all the right signs. Something just feels rather dead.
