Withings’ ScanWatch is finally coming to the US after FDA clearance
Scanwatch ‘has received the FDA permit, opening the way for sale in the US starting in November, the company announced. Watches, available in the regular style horizon and divers versions have been simultaneously cleaned to take electrocardiogram (ECG) and SPO2 (oxygen saturation), in health and medical settings.
Original scanwatch was available in Europe because it came out a year ago, but the FDA clearance has taken longer. Both models use ECG reading to check the fibrillation of atrial (irregulatory heart rate), and you can even download the results and send them to your doctor as PDF. If it pays attention to irregular heartbeat, it will advise you to take the ECG test.
We found Scanwatch into the best hybrid smartwatch out there, offering a traditional analog watch view and a small PMOLED display to display activities, listeners, ECG, spo2 and more. Like the scales and other health devices, it works with the company’s health mate application.
Sales will begin in early November 2021, with prices starting at $ 279 for the original 38mm scanwatch model. The Rose Gold version and Horizon will be available at the beginning of 2022 at each price of $ 299 and $ 499.
